July 4th fell on a Wednesday this year and it was nice to have a mid-week day off. We took Tyler to his first ever parade in the High Point Terrace neighborhood. This neighborhood feels like home even though we don't live there because it is where Russ bought his first house on Kenwood Ave. in 2000! He lived there with 2 roommates until he sold it in 2004 to move in with me in after we got married. We spent a lot of time in this cute neighborhood and it was so fun to join friends who now have homes in High Point for their 64th annual Fourth of July parade! Tyler loved watching all the people, the firetrucks and floats go by.

We had several invites to other fun parties that afternoon, but we ended up staying home and resting in the AC. Several straight days of 100 degree weather with no end in sight zonked out our entire family!!
