Bye, bye crib - Tyler is now sleeping in his big boy twin bed in his room!! Since he did SO well sleeping in the twin bed at the beach, we decided to officially upgrade him at home, too. We got home late Saturday afternoon, immediately moved the crib out of his room and put up the toddler rail on the twin bed that was already in his room. He made a few comments about where his crib was going and what was that (in reference to the toddler rail). But when it came time to go get ready for bed, we read books and sang our songs in his bed, we kissed him goodnight and told him to stay in bed.
He has done great!! Since the move he has only gotten up twice. We put a child lock on the door so he can't open it, just in case. He mostly just waits in his bed for someone to get him up just like he did in the crib. He loves having a sheet and a blanket to cover up with, too.

towel on his head and throws himself on the floor giggling. |
