Last days at the beach

We had a wonderful last few days at the beach. Overall, the weather was overcast for about half of the week and party sunny for the rest. And the temperature was perfect!! This was a much better forecast than all the rain the radar kept showing each morning. We could not have asked for a better week of relaxing and fun in the sun, sand and pool.

Caroline was cutting her 2nd top tooth this week...it made
 for some early mornings and a few sleepless nights!

Tyler's obsession with Cars continued on the beach.

On our last day, Russ made Tyler a giant track with tunnels for him to drive on.

We took Tyler crab hunting for the first time this trip. We went down to the beach with a net and a flashlight just after dark. I didn't realize it, but the crabs are white to blend with the sand! Those things were super fast, too! Tyler loved watching us try to catch them! (I may have even killed one in an attempt to catch it...opps!)

I was really dreading the drive home, but it was not nearly as eventful as the way down, thank goodness! We timed our stops a little better (only stopping twice!) and we shaved almost an hour off our time. Caroline slept much better and Tyler even took a brief nap for about 30 minutes right at the end of the trip. We were all glad to be home and out of the car!
