Tiger Homecoming Weekend

It's was Memphis Tiger Homecoming this weekend. This year had been fun to be a Tiger football fan because we have a great coach who's put together a great team. Oh and we are WINNING! Going into the weekend, we were 8-0! Crazy town!

I had a work trip this weekend, but didn't leave until Saturday morning so we went over to campus to meet some friends and watch the Homecoming parade. Our kids love a good parade and they got tons of candy (which is exactly what we needed after Halloween! Ha!) After the parade, we walked to the clock tower, listened to the band play and got some popcorn before heading home.

Caroline was attached to Ms. Kelly the whole time!

I left early the next morning for Dallas for the Texas race. I love the Texas race...it's close to home, easy to get to from Memphis, love the area where we stay and the hotel, too. I enjoyed the travel day and dinner to myself before work began on Saturday. Denny had car trouble, was in and out of the garage all day and finished 38th, so it was not a stellar day at the track.

Ha! Matt Kenseth was suspended from the race by NASCAR for what most people
think was a chump call...the support for him in the garage and in the stands was unreal!!

Meanwhile, the kids had a big weekend with Daddy at home. They went to the Home Depot kids build project in the morning and the Tiger Homecoming game against Navy later that night. They tailgated in the afternoon and had a big time as always. He didn't get any pics he said because he was trying to keep the kids alive - HA! The game ended our win streak when we lost to Navy. Apparently we just fell apart. Oh well. It was an awesome run and so exciting to see Memphis football in the news for something GOOD for once. We hope it's the start of big things for our program, even if we lose our Coach after this season.

They finished out the weekend playing around the house and outside. They even got the "little hamburgers" as a treat for dinner. Caroline was DYING for Russ to paint her finger and toe nails all weekend, but he was too scared too. So the first thing I did when I got home Monday night was to paint them!

Helping to bag the pine needles.

Loving Krystals!

So proud of her fingers and toes!
