First Christmas!!

We had such a wonderful first Christmas with Tyler! Those words just don't even do it justice, so I will do my best with all the pictures we took. Beware...picture overload below!!

We stopped in Paris on our way to Clarksville to see my Dad (aka Pop Pop). We had dinner and spent some time at Paris Landing State Park. They have a really nice lobby with a fireplace and it was decorating really pretty. We were the only people in there and they turned "Christmas Vacation" on for us on the TV.

On Christmas Eve, Aunt Carol and Uncle Mark came to Clarksville to spend the weekend at Granna's house with us. Uncle Brian was there, too. We also got to see my Aunt Mary, Aunt Emily and cousin William that I haven't seen in years! It was nice to visit and for Tyler to meet them, too. Tyler and I made cookies for Santa and he ate cookie dough for the first time...whoops! Took a cookie right off the sheet and stuck it in his mouth! Granna and Aunt Carol cooked the traditional Christmas food with ham, turkey, dressing and all the fixings. We ate right before we got ready for Mass and all of us wanted to take naps! Tyler was a good boy during Mass and we were proud. Nannie and Papa came over to visit after church, too.

In my pjs after my bath...when I wake up it'll be Christmas!!

Christmas morning we took our time getting up...this will probably be the last year for that! We ate breakfast and didn't open gifts until about 10:30 a.m. I think Tyler was very overwhelmed with all the chaos. He did not quite have present opening down, but he did like to rip paper (and eat it!) and grab tissue paper (and eat it!) Hahaha! Tyler must have been a good boy because he got a ton of awesome gifts...a piano, a music player, lots of books, his first laptop, clothes. Santa even brought him his very own chair...he got a little mixed up and delivered it to Memphis instead of Clarksville, so it was waiting for Tyler when we got home.

Later that afternoon, Tyler got to meet more family (Uncle Thomas, Aunt Zanetta and cousin Mason). We went to their house for lunch. Thomas smoked a turkey and it was to-die-for! Zanetta and Mason also made buckeyes (my fav!)...I swear, I ate 20 of them!

We enjoyed our traditional appetizer feast for dinner that night AND enjoyed Family Game Night! We played Guesstures for the first time and it was out-of-control fun! Uncle Mark was the best performer by far and the guys beat the girls twice. Boo! Rematch for sure!

We stayed in Clarksville until Wednesday. Tyler played with his toys. We enjoyed seeing some of my old high school friends. Russ and I even went out to see "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" and watched other movies at home. Russ read and we all enjoyed being lazy. It was sooo nice!!

This was by far one of the BEST Christmases ever! Time off work and lots of celebrating the birth of our Savior with family and friends!! It just doesn't get any better than that!
