Tyler Glenn - You are 7 months old!!
- You are growing like a weed! We have not been to the doctor since your 6 month checkup, but I think you are over 16lbs. now. We need to schedule a visit to get your 2nd flu shot, so maybe we'll get a weight check that I can report then.
- You are wearing 6 month clothes and 6-12 month one-piece outfits. Things are starting to fit you a little better in the waist but you are still too skinny for a lot of your pants, yet you are outgrowing the smaller ones in the length!
- You are in a size 3 diaper and I expect you to stay there for a while. I remember thinking that size 3 diapers were HUGE...and they were compared to your newborn ones!
- You are still sleeping great at night! It has been over a month and we are thrilled! You go to bed no later than 7:45p and sleep until 6-6:30a. You are all over the bed when you sleep. We are still elevating 2 legs of your crib so that usually means you roll to the bottom by morning. And a lot of the time you roll over to your belly to sleep and/or play. We also keep about four pacis in your crib and now you are able to find them when you wake up. We are considering adding some toys, too, since you have started playing with your crib bumper. We are also lowering your mattress this weekend.

Playing with the doggy pillow that usually stays at the foot of your bed. |
- You are not a great napper at school. In fact, they say you are the WORST napper, usually only sleeping for 20-30 minutes a day. It must be all the distractions there! I don't know how you go that long without being a huge crankapotamus!! Hahaha! You will nap better at home on the weekends and will usually take a couple one hour naps in the morning and afternoon.

| Catching a cat nap on Daddy. Look at that chubby belly! |
- You still worship Bonnie! You now look for her when you get up in the morning. You smile when you hear her collar jingling before you even see her. It's no wonder that "dog" was your 2nd word!

- I am only nursing you in the mornings now, so that means you get formula bottles for every other feeding. Most of the time you take four 8oz. bottles during the week (three at daycare and one before bed) and three-four on the weekends.
- Eating is still your most favorite part of the day. I feel like you are eating all the time! You are eating Stage 2 baby foods like a champ and you are so busy that you make a HUGE mess when you eat. Granna is actually the best at keeping you clean. You are so interested in the food that we eat...I can't wait until we can start table foods! I know it will be an even bigger mess. Your Daddy is dreading that, but Bonnie will be in heaven.
- You are starting to love books. You still grab them and want to eat them a lot, but you listen and look at the pictures, too. Russ and I both love reading, so we are excited to read with you. Daddy likes to read the Dr. Seuss books to you. Those books are so random that he says Dr. Seuss must have been crazy when he wrote them!
- I am embarrassed to say, but you LOVE to watch TV. If it is on, then you will watch it. Haha! You love your Baby Genius Nursery Rhyme DVD so much, too. You will sit and watch it without moving.
- You still love to play on the floor on a blanket. Your favorite toys right now are anything that lights up, plays music and that you can bang on. You especially like the mini basketball goal Granna got you at a consignment sale and the activity table to I recently took the legs off of for you to play with while you sit. They both make lots of noise and we are wishing that we bought stock in Fisher Price.

This is not a great picture, but shows you with all your toys! You always pull them over...don't know your own strength! |
- NEW things this month:
- You are scooting yourself backwards when you are on the floor doing tummy time. The first step toward crawling, we've been told. You desperately reach for things and end up pushing yourself away from it. Ha! Maybe we'll have a crawler by 8 months??
- You are really starting to babble. A LOT!! You have said "Da-Da" and "dog", though you are not really pronouncing the "g" very well yet, but we can tell what you are saying! You have have started yelling really loud. Ms. Diane at daycare says you have "discovered your voice". You will yell and want one of us to yell back at you...we can thank Granna for that. Ha!
- You now have 2 bottom teeth and they hurt! You have bitten Mommy several times (not meaning to) and those suckers are sharp!
Here are some favorite pictures of you over the past month. There are lots with you and Daddy because Mommy is always behind the camera! We'll have to work on that next month.

This is what happens when you forget to send extra clothes to daycare! Sleeveless in January! Whoops! |
