I finally broke down and took Tyler to the doctor this morning. He has been fighting a cold for 2 weeks now and last Friday his eyes started getting super swollen, sticky and gooey with drainage. It got worse every day over the weekend and was so bad this morning that he couldn't open his eyes because they were "glued" shut. Poor baby.
So, we went to the sick clinic this morning (with half of the city, I think!!) and Tyler checked out ok. Dr. Y thinks that he's just had several viruses in a row and that has made it hard for his eyes to recover. She called him in some antibiotic eye drops to make sure an infection doesn't start. They were $35 because there was no generic (ugh!) but the pharmacist said they were good and would clear it up ASAP. I dropped Tyler off at daycare and they are gonna give him the drops three times a day so we don't have to! Yay! Love our daycare!
In other news, Tyler weighed 17 lbs., 4.5 oz. Woohoo! That was with his clothes on and in a wet diaper, but was still great!! Here's hoping he gets well soon!!
