Back to the doctor we went for her 18 month checkup. We hadn't been since her 15 month visit, though she has been sick...way sicker than Tyler ever was, which I also hear is normal with #2. She had fun playing in the waiting room and pointing at the fish until it was her turn.
She was not a happy camper getting her measurements. She screamed bloody murder actually. And then would be fine as soon as the nurse let me pick her up. This girl definitely knows what she wants (and doesn't want!) She had another good growth spurt these last 3 months and is up in every category. Looks like we'll have another average height kiddo if she stays on this track.
Length: 31.75", 50th percentile (39th at 15 months)
Weight: 26 lbs., 3oz., 75th percentile (65th at 15 months)
Head circumference: 47cm., 62nd percentile (52nd at 15 months)
While we waited for Dr. H, Caroline discovered the books in the room this visit and loved reading them despite my attempts to keep her from them (I just get grossed out by all the germs and sick kids that have also played with them. Yuk!)

| Of course she had to climb in all the chairs in the room while we waited, too. |
The exam with Dr. H was fast...mainly because Caroline screamed her head off like she was being tortured! I held her for all of the exam and she still was just so upset. She was clinging to me for dear life! I didn't have much that I wanted to talk about with Dr. H except for her vocabulary. She has lots of new words and babbles all the time, but still just isn't nearly as verbal as Tyler. Again, Dr. H said that she is completely within normal limits and that between now and her 2 year appointment, we should see big changes verbally.
She only got one shot this time (Hep A) and she is done with shots (except for Flu) until 5! Yay!! The sweet nurse brought her an Elmo sticker after it was all done and Caroline LOVED it!
