It's about time for an update on our 18 month old sweetie, Caroline. If I had to describe her in just one word at this age, it would be CRAZY!! This baby girl is busy, busy all the time. She is fearless! Honestly, she really thinks she is 3 years old just like her big brother and is always trying to do what he does. Our goal each day is to make sure she stays alive...Ha! Here are some of Caroline's recent favorites:
This child loves to dance. The second she so much as hears music, she starts swaying back and forth. We love "Frozen" in this house and she will start dancing as soon as the opening credits come on. We also listen to the soundtrack in the car and when "Do You Want to Build a Snowman" comes on, she will start "tick tocking" with her mouth in anticipation of the clock noises that Anna makes. I got a cute video of her dancing in action below. She also has recently added "twirling" (aka spinning around in a circle until she gets dizzy and falls down) to her moves.
Caroline definitely keeps us on our toes and Russ and are constantly saying, "where's Caroline" to each other to make sure she's not getting into trouble. One of her most favorite things to do is hide from us. And she's REALLY good at it. She will wander off, hide and stay completely silent until you find her. No laughing while we are looking for her or when we are complete panic mode because we can't find her. She just sits patiently until we find her and then giggles nonstop when we do. It is hilarious. Her favorite hiding spots are behind the kitchen and master bedroom curtains and behind the chair or door in her room. Silly girl!
I think she may be a girly girl, because she already loves accessories. She is still obsessed with shoes and loves to drag hers and Tyler's all over the house. She still walks around with them on her hands and loves to wear our shoes, too. She also loves hats, mainly because Russ and I wear them a lot. She says "at" and then wants to either take it off our heads or push it up and down to play hide and seek. Her hair has gotten SO long and when it's not pulled back, she is constantly pushing it out of her face. She is keeping her "bow-bows" in her hair longer now and loves to pull them off the ribbons in her room and try to put them in herself. She also has an obsession with the bracelet/necklace set the Easter bunny brought her...she wears it constantly and loves that she can take them on and off by herself.

| Running around with shoes on her hands, like always. |
 |
My shoes on her hands. And notice how she has one shoe off...she also loves to take OFF her shoes! |
 |
She came running to me wanting these dress shoes on her feet stat and then proceeded to parade around the house in them. |

Caroline has gotten into books in a major way lately. She loves turning the pages and especially loves interactive books...ones with flaps and things she can touch and feel. If she disappears for too long, I often find her in the book corner in Tyler's room pulling all the books from the baskets and shelves. It drives him a little crazy. But, nothing is sweet than when she toddles over with a book, turns around and plops in my lap wanting me to read to her.

| This Halloween counting "pop" book is one of the kids' favorites! |
Caroline is VERY expressive and makes the funniest faces. She has the best pouty face I have every seen and definitely has the drama thing down pat! She can mirror just about any sound you make with your mouth and loves to play copycat.
 |
| Looking very guilty here. |
 |
| Oh the drama. |
 |
| Fish face! |
Since Tyler started potty training and subsequently washing his hands more, Caroline also wants to be big and wash her hands, too. She went through a brief stage (thank goodness!) where she would take off to their bathroom, climb up on the stool, turn on the water and start playing in it! Ahhhh! She is so crazy! Here she is hand washing supervised...
 |
| Her "cheese". Most times when she sees my camera or my phone, she yells "CHEESE"!! |
Caroline is still a climber. During our kitchen reno, she and Tyler would push their Pottery Barn chairs up to the couch and use it to climb on. They now do it with the chair in the den, too. Also, I added a step stool to the end of the island to the kitchen and this has been like an open invitation for her to climb onto the island! I snapped a few pics before I made her get down.

| Climbing onto the island and losing a shoe along the way. |

Remember "Upside Down Tyler"? Well Caroline is now following suit and will do this trick on command. Ha!
Russ said just the other night how big she looked in her crib when he put her to bed. And that he was surprised she hasn't tried to climb out yet! Eeeek! Let's hope not! She has already pulled her wooden monogram off the wall and into her crib. We love you crazy girl!
