Our Weekend

Another weekend is in the books and it was a fun one with the kiddos. It was our first weekend in a long while that we didn't have anything major planned, so we took advantage and planned a visit to Build a Bear to use our Christmas gift certificates from Uncle Joe and Aunt Kat.  But first, Tyler needed a haircut. I had hoped to have Caroline's hair trimmed a little, too, but Ms. Tricia couldn't squeeze her in this time. So, she just ran around the shop waving at all the blue-haired ladies and eating suckers. Love her! :)

Playing the iPad while we wait.
We went home to get Daddy and headed out to Wolfchase to grab some lunch at McAlister's (where kids ate free!) before going to Build a Bear. Tyler had been before, but it had been awhile. He choose the Hulk bear, mainly because it was GREEN...his favorite color. Caroline had never been and was quite overwhelmed. She didn't understand that you chose an unstuffed bear and kept wanting to carry around the finished display bears. :) She ultimately decided on the "Anna" bear from Frozen...though we didn't buy any of the crazy expensive clothes to go with it.

My boys at lunch!

Picking out a heart

Rubbing the heart to get it to start.

Caroline was too scared to push the pedal to stuff her bear.
Putting her heart inside.

I told her to "give her a hug" meaning her new bear and she hugged the store worker. :)

Cleaning and brushing their new bears.

Naming their bears...Tyler picked "Friendly" for his bear. :)
They begged to ride the boats right outside the store...great placement, Wolfchase.

We went to Huey's as a family for dinner and Tyler shot his first toothpick into the ceiling. We were shocked that he got it up there (and didn't hit someone or go into their food!) but it bounced off and didn't stick. It's safe to say that Tyler loves Huey's now and wants to shoot toothpicks all the time!

On Sunday, we visited Christ United Methodist Church. We have been looking for a new church home and have visited several churches since the start of the new year. We are looking for a smaller church with a contemporary worship option that has a good bible-based, relatable message with has a great kids program and lots of young families. We BOTH really enjoyed CUMC enough to go back again...which is great progress!

They were SO excited to see the sun out that they both wanted sunglasses for church!

Helping to make pancakes after church.

We spent the rest of our Sunday playing outside in the beautiful weather...we are hopeful that Spring is on the way!

The girl loves to swing!
And so does her brother!

This big boy can now pump his legs and swing all by himself!

First bike ride in the trailer with Daddy!

Bubbles!!

What a fun day!
