Spring Fun in Mrs. Beuadry's Class

It's super fun to be a student in Mrs. Beaudry's class!! Here are some of the things they've been up to as a class. I love that the teachers are encouraged to take lots of pics and share with the parents, too.

A local dentist and "the Tooth Fairy" came to visit each class to talk about how important it is to brush your teeth. Tyler now tells me that if we don't brush, that his teeth will fall out...ha! I guess scare tactics are one way to ensure compliance. :)

They celebrated Dr. Seuss Day...their 7th grade buddies came down and read to the class in small groups. We also sent Dr. Seuss-like hats that were leftover from Tyler's 2nd birthday party to school for all his friends. Caroline came and joined in a few group pics, too.

They had a weekly lesson where they learned about castles, knights and princesses. They built castles out of blocks and they also colored and built a huge cardboard castle in their classroom. To finish out the week, all the kids were asked to come dressed up as knights and princesses. They made crowns to wear and had fun dancing with each other. They finished with cherry turnovers for snack. So fun!

Mrs. Beaudry had this to say about the week in her newsletter:
"Everyone loved the castle. The children have so much imagination. Who would have thought that a cardboard box could cause so much excitement? Is it any wonder that Jesus asked us to more like children? The children painted crowns and put jewels on them. Thank you for dressing your children in costumes. They had so much fun. I put chamber music on and they curtsied and bowed to one another and danced. We also did a modified Virginia reel also the boys picked their partners. They kept saying let’s do it again, again, again. Finally I was so exhausted, we had to quit. Ha Ha!"

Their class taught a new song at assembly one morning...Tyler was not super into doing the motions, but he was singing a little bit. :)

We just love Mrs. Beaudry...she has been SOO good for Tyler this year!
