It's Beach Time! Hooray! Our much anticipated annual trip is finally here! The whole family is excited! Tyler can actually remember the beach and how much fun it is for the first time this year, so he was extra excited!
We left Memphis about 645a...a little later than we had hoped, but oh well. It takes a while to get everything loaded and everyone moving! After the success of the Atlanta trip, we put Tyler in the 3rd row again and I sat in the back with Caroline. It really makes the trip so much more enjoyable when I can reach the kids easier and we all have more space. We stopped in Prattville as we typically do to stretch our legs, for lunch at "Old McDonalds" (kids choice) and gas. Though the drive was long (took us 8.5 hours!), the kids honestly did really well for most of the trip...movies, the iPad, stickers and coloring as distractions always helps. Uncle Brian and Granna left after us and got there before us in enough time to eat a late lunch at the beach...they only stopped for gas. I was jealous...maybe we will plan to do that next time.
We stayed at the Adagio again (our 3rd time) and we were so excited to check out our condo. We have stayed in a different condo each time, but I think we have found our favorite in this one. It was wonderful! The layouts are all pretty much the same, but this condo was decorated beautifully and we liked our location. The kids loved running through the condo checking out all the rooms. This was the first year in 4 years that we didn't have a pack-n-play in our room! Tyler slept on the bottom of the hall bunk beds again and Caroline slept in the 2nd bed in Granna's room.
After we got unpacked, we went down to check out the beach and sand for a little bit. From the kids' excitement, we could tell that they were going to have a ball this week playing!

| Of course she fell down with all her clothes on!! :) |
I picked up our dinner at Pizza By the Sea, we ate and then Granna and I headed to the grocery store to shop for the week. It is my least favorite thing to do after driving all day, but once it's done, I don't have to go back! Ha! We shopped at quick as possible and headed back to crash!
Saturday, the kids woke up excited for the beach! (We did set Tyler's clock back so he wasn't waking up until 7a every day, which was so nice!) The condo seemed a little more crowded than in years past, so we didn't get to set up our beach chairs and umbrellas as close as we would have liked. Oh well. Russ got up early the rest of the week and went down to set up to fix that problem!
We had a super fun morning at the beach. The weather was perfect and the kids LOVED the water and sand! Caroline, in particular would've played in it all day!! And it was so calm that they could sit on the beach and kick and let the water wash up on them and it didn't knock them over. It was a toss up if Tyler loved the water or the sand more. He loved making sandcastles and driving his trucks around making tracks.

| Thank goodness I added the princesses at the last minute...she loved playing with them in the sand! |
 |
| Going to get water for the sandcastles. |
 |
| Love those thighs! And she was obsessed with this little red watering can, too. |
 |
| Splashing with Granna! |
 |
| They would have played in the water like this all day! |
 |
| Enjoying a goldfish snack! |
 |
| Love the upside down glasses!! |
 |
| His happy place! |
We hopped in the pool to rinse the sand off and then had lunch outside on our patio. We love having the big table outside to be able to do that! Naps were up next for the kids and the adults had some free time. I spent mine sitting on the patio reading a book! Heaven! Looking forward to 5 more days of relaxation and fun!!
