In advance of the big day, Tyler painted a special rock at school. It came home a few days before Father's Day and Tyler could not WAIT to gift it to Russ. He even told him he what it was before he opened it. :)
Saturday, I took Tyler to make a bird feeder as part of our Father's Day gift...the bird houses were already assembled, so Tyler chose all the colors and painted it special.
I tried to make Russ' day a fun one and celebrate you! First, we let him sleep in. This was HARD for Tyler to do!! Ha! But he loved going back to wake Russ up to open presents! He made him close his eyes and he led him to the kitchen. Then, he and Caroline proceeds to open his gifts! Hahaha!

We went to church and afterwards went to Gibson's to enjoy some yummy donuts in honor of our favorite Dad! We also got some pics in our yard to commemorate the occasion.
The kids napped afterwards and the adults did some relaxing, too. When the got up, we did a little playing outside and they hung the bird feeder. I planned to have all of Russ' favorite foods for dinner...filets, macaroni and cheese and caprese salad. Uncle Brian joined us for dinner and brought some chicken kabobs to grill, too. It was an awesome feast of yumminess.
It was a pretty awesome day! Happy Father's Day to our favorite guy!
