Our first December weekend brought lots of activity with it, as is typical this time of the year. Granna was also in town to help out with the kids, too!
On Friday, we celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary! Crazy how time just flies! We did a low key affair this year and went to Outback to use a gift card that Russ had. It is always yummy food. We picked up Muddy's afterwards and headed back home. I gifted Russ with the complete Star Wars DVD collection...this is in advance of the new Star Wars movie that was coming out. Russ is excited to introduce Tyler to it, too. I got a new Barrington tote bag that I have wanted for awhile. It was expensive, so it is actually my anniversary and Christmas gift. I got to customize it and I love it!

The next morning, we all got showered, ready and loaded up because the kids both had early morning haircuts. Caroline got a much needed 2" cut from her hair! It seemed short afterwards, but looks so much better now!
We then drove out to the Collierville Square to see Santa. We saw Santa Rick, and he is seriously the best looking and the nicest Santa! Plus, it was free on the square. Tyler was SO excited and could hardly stand waiting in line to see him. When it was finally our turn, I thought that Caroline might be scared and she was a little at first, until Santa gave her a candy cane! They both sat in his lap and took THE BEST Santa pics ever! I will treasure this one almost as much as the screaming/crying one of Caroline last year!

After we saw Santa, we walked around a little more on the Square and explored the train tracks and old train before we headed back to the house for naps.

Granna kept the kids again that night so that we could hit up 2 parties...the first was a going away party for our friends the Sparkes, who are moving to Atlanta later this month. We will miss David, Heather and Nicholas, but are excited for their new adventure and can't wait to visit! Next, we went to our church Sunday School Christmas party. It was an ugly sweater themed party and folks dressed to impress. We catered Swankys, had a fun photo booth and set up a couples Dirty Santa/White Elephant gift exchange that was super fun. We won a selfie stick! Ha! It was a late, but fun night!
The next day, Granna headed home by lunch and I took Tyler and Caroline went to Luca's 5th birthday, who is a girl in Tyler's class at school. It was a dress-up party held in the gym at the kids' school and they had a blast running around and burning off some energy!
After naps, we met the Whitleys out at Germantown Baptist to see the Living Nativity! Holy tons of people! It was so super crowded! Luckily we got there early and didn't have to wait too long to see the show. It was very neat with lots of awesome animals. The kids enjoyed hot chocolate and popcorn before we headed home.
It was a full and exhausting weekend!
