We headed to Clarksville this past weekend for 1st birthday party #2 for Tyler with family. We stopped in Paris on the way to see my dad and had dinner at the State Park restaurant. It was all-you-can-eat seafood night, baby! Ha! Tyler did well at dinner, but made the biggest mess ever. We promised the nice ladies that we would clean up our own mess. Afterwards, we walked around to give Bonnie a chance to stretch her legs. We hadn't seen Pop Pop in a while, so it was good to visit, even if it was short.

| "Peek-a-boo!!" A meal time favorite game right now! |
On Saturday afternoon, we grilled out burgers and hotdogs and celebrated Tyler's birthday all over again. Granna also celebrated a birthday earlier in the week, so it was a double celebration. Tyler still didn't dive into his cake, but he did play with the icing a bit more and that made for some funny pictures! We opened some presents and wrapped up a nice day with family and friends.

| Tyler and Uncle Joe! |
Sunday was Father's Day and Russ celebrated by getting a Daddy break to play golf the morning before. We spent the rest of the weekend being lazy around the house and playing in the pool. Granna's pool gets a lot more sun than ours does, so it was warmer and Tyler liked it a little better. He is still warming up to the idea of being in the pool...he whines when he gets all the way in, but when Granna started playing ring-around-the-roses, he started laughing and having more fun.

Russ and I packed up mid-afternoon on Sunday to head back to Memphis. We left Tyler and Bonnie with Granna...they are spending the next 9 days in Clarksville, so we can have an adult trip to San Francisco and Sonoma. It will be the longest we have left Tyler. We taught Granna to skype so we can "see" him some while we are away. I know they will have a big time together...Granna is taking Tyler to swim lessons this week, they will go on lots of walks in the neighborhood and I'm sure will have lots of visitors! Tyler will come home spoiled rotten, I am sure!
