The last day of our trip was a busy one. We had several fun things planned but we were both pretty zonked from all the fun and business from our trip so far.
First up was a hot air balloon ride!! Neither of us had ever done it and I thought Sonoma would be an awesome place to splurge. We had to be up early because all hot air balloon launches are in the morning, it seems. We launched on a golf course and I was shocked at how many balloons were going up that day. There were 16 people in our balloon along with our pilot. I was really nervous until we got in and I felt how smooth the ride was.

Landing was a little bit of a challenge...they try to land them in certain spots that are easy for the buses to get to, but it's not always possible with the wind and all. Our pilot was telling us that he's landed in people's backyards and all kinds of crazy places before! Our landing was a little bumpy, as we ended up on a hill and had to "jump" our way down to a relatively flat place to land. Our bus ride back took us to Domaine Chandon, where we were the day before for a tasting, for a light breakfast and champagne. It was really a great experience that I would highly recommend!

Next, we visited Rutherford Hills for our last tour and tasting of our trip. It was a really pretty vineyard and one of the better tours we went on (they store their wine in a cave, which was SO cool!), but Russ and I were kinda over tasting and all by this point. We bought the remaining bottles we needed to fill our case and we headed back to San Fran. On the way, we stopped at Gott's Roadside for lunch...the word was out about this place because the line was crazy long. We enjoyed our burgers and shakes, so it was worth the wait!

We headed back to the city to catch a Giants game...Russ had not been to this stadium and was excited to see it. It was a really pretty stadium right on the water, but it was a night game and pretty chilly. We only stayed until the 7th inning before heading back to our hotel to crash.
We flew out bound for Memphis the next morning...we had a great time, but were ready to get home to see our little guy!
