Weekend happenings

After the excitement of the Liddell Halloween party, we still had quite a busy weekend with house projects and social gatherings. Just how I like it!!

In between all of our projects, we did manage to have a little fun. Saturday morning, Tyler and I had our first of hopefully many Mommy-Son dates. It was supposed to start with a badly needed haircut for him, but Ms. Tricia had to cancel. Boo! His hair will be super obnoxious after growing for 2 more weeks. Oh well. So instead we started with a trip to GPAC for a PB&Jam session with Wild Willy and Friends. Tyler was super excited to go "sing and dance", but once we got there he clung to me like crazy! He warmed up at the end when he got to go around and test all the instruments. We went to Chickfila for lunch afterwards. Tyler played in the indoor play space for the first time and LOVED it! He has gone in before and would climb on the first platform or 2, but this time he crawled all through the tunnels and went down the slide. He is getting braver every day!

That night, we went to Kate's house and enjoyed some good company, yummy food and s'mores by the fire. Tyler, Logan, Sophie and Jack Wilson ran and played in the backyard almost non-stop. Tyler came home covered in mud!

Roasting marshmallows.
Playing peek-a-boo with Shea.
We also managed to squeeze in a little time to work on Tyler's first school project...they each had to decorate a feather that will be displayed on a classroom turkey. We were told to use supplies we had on hand, so I raided the wrapping paper, ribbon, craft and sticker supplies that we had. Tyler picked everything out and I helping him cut and glue.
The finished product - Ha!
On Sunday night, we met Michel and his new fiance, Lorie, and her son Warren at a bonfire and cookout at their church. Russ had not met Lorie yet, so he definitely wanted to go. The Iglesias family also came and it was so good to see the girls and Patty's baby bump with a growing AJ! It sprinkled on and off, but the kids still managed to play on the big inflatables, devour several hot dogs and chips and enjoy the hayride.
Chloe helped Tyler up this giant inflatable slide.
At the top and ready to slide!

GO!!

First time eating the hot dog with the bun,
Maddi and Chloe on the hayride.
Warren got in the fun. The flash was so bright, it was hard to get a picture with everyone's eyes open!

Such a crazy busy weekend!
