Grit and Grind!

Yep, we caught the Memphis Grizzlies fever this year, along with the rest of our city! It started in April when Russ and I went to a regular season home game, right after they clinched their spot for post-season play. I am pretty embarrassed to say that it was my first Grizzlies game EVER...unless you count a pre-season game I went to their first year in Memphis (2001) at the PYRAMID! Hahaha! The energy level of the crowd, the number of crazy games and activities they have at every timeout, the music during game play...it all just makes the vibe of a professional basketball game so different than a college game. It was so much fun!!

We got the chance to attend game 5 of their playoff run, too. We were 3 rows behind the bench in AMAZING seats!! We were on TV several times and could hear Lionel coaching from the bench. Pretty cool!! The Grizz won game 5 and game 6 on the road, but lost game 7 in Memphis to end their 2012 playoff run. Too bad, but we will definitely be back to cheer them on in 2013. Maybe we will even take Tyler!!
