First Time at the Beach

Our first beach day was cloudy with scattered rain. This forecast would've greatly upset me a couple years ago, but post-melanoma I don't need to get much sun any more (and neither does my family!), so this was a-okay by me! We went down early (8:30am!!) to enjoy the dry weather while it lasted. This also makes me laugh because before on vacation we'd still be ASLEEP at 8:30am...let alone have eaten breakfast and ready for the beach!

Tyler absolutely adored the sand, just like I knew he would! He was perfectly content to pick up sand with his hands and throw it in a bucket. He was afraid of the waves and didn't like when the water splashed his feet. But he loved "jumping" the waves with Daddy!

We played on the beach for a couple hours and went in when it started to look really gloomy out. It rained while we ate lunch and Tyler napped. It cleared off enough for us to go back down in the afternoon for a little bit. All in all, is was quite a perfect day!
