Tiger Tailgating and Football

We made it to our first Tiger Tailgate of the season this weekend. It was a cool day with sprinkles on and off, but that didn't stop us from going and making the most of it. And I was rocking my boot the whole day, too.

We made it to Tiger Lane just before the Tiger Walk started. We saw Tom the Tiger III (the real one!), the cheerleaders, the band and the players as they arrived to the stadium.

Afterwards, Tyler wanted to jump in the bounce houses, so we did that, too. Sweet Cooper was there and he and Tyler had big fun together all day. When we headed back to the tailgate, Mr. Sloan was there with his partner...Tyler was excited to sit on their motorcycles and see the blue lights and Cooper loved showing off his Daddy's bike.

Love this picture of these 2! They played so well together. Cooper is just the sweetest!

Our friend, Julie, was celebrating her 40th birthday that day, so we had a little party for her on Tiger Lane. The kids were excited for cake! Country group Thompson Square was also playing a free concert and the stage was right behind us so we were able to hear all the great music without leaving our tailgate. We ventured back over to see Pouncer and watch the cheerleaders and band again after cake.

We packed up and headed into the game. It sprinkled several times, but the rain never got heavy, thank goodness. Tyler and Cooper had fun playing and running around in the stands. And somehow between Russ and I and lots of distractions, we mananged to HOLD Caroline for the entire game! I knew once we put her down, that she would be all over the place. We stayed longer than we thought through almost the end of the game. I was exhausted from the boot and so were the kids. We didn't get them in bed until after 10p!

It was a close game, but we lost to Houston...
Most of the group!
