Father's Day

Father's Day started early for me, as I was up by 6a to feed Caroline. I worked quickly to get sausage and biscuits made so we could serve them to Russ in bed. I got Tyler up to help me make a card out of his and Caroline's hand prints and then we were off to wake up Daddy with his breakfast! Tyler ran in and said "Happy Father's Day", just like we practiced. He was so excited that he had to eat HIS breakfast in bed with Daddy, too. Of course there were crumbs everywhere and Russ (in true OCD-fashion) broke out the vacuum to clean them up!
Gift from Caroline to Russ...they made this at daycare. So sweet!!
Yes, there is mustard on his tray...Russ is a weirdo and likes mustard on his sausage biscuits!
A very proud Tyler after waking up Daddy with breakfast!
And as you can see by the clock (8a!), he didn't get to sleep in for long.
Daddy with both of his babies!
Our day was pretty low-key. We went to church and let Tyler play on the playground afterwards. Then we came home and did some more playing outside before naps. Both kiddos took long afternoon naps which allowed Russ and I to relax and catch a few episodes of "Fringe" that we are watching on Netflix.
Daddy and the kiddos after church.
Tyler is getting so good at picture taking these days. He will actually smile for me most of the time!
Tyler is still a little too short to reach the pedals, but loves pushing off and gliding! Check out the video...

First picture of BOTH of them smiling at the same time!
I swear, this tree is magical when it comes to getting good pics of the kids! :)
She is such a happy baby!!
When Tyler woke up, he and Russ swam in the pool for the first time this season. It was a chilly 78 degrees, which is way too cold for me, but Tyler did not seem to mind. He wore his puddle jumper life jacket and did great!! We finished the night with some burgers and hot dogs on the grill. We splurged and got a new Weber gas grill last weekend since ours broke, so that was Russ' Father's Day gift.
Of course there was a lot of basketball shooting.

Giving Daddy a kiss! Awww!
He got very brave in the deep-end with his puddle jumper on!

Happy Father's Day honey! The kids adore you and that makes my heart so happy! We love you!!
