Tyler is TWO!!

Wow! I cannot believe our big boy is TWO today! Time has just flown.

Tyler is a happy, chatty and busy boy. He loves cars, trains, flags, Curious George, playing outside and reading books.  He can count to 20; can identify all his colors, letters and numbers and knows the words to lots of songs. He talks non-stop (guess he gets that honestly from his Mama!) and in complete sentences. Every day, he just amazes me with all the things he is saying. He knows that Mommy's name is Kirsten, Daddy is Russ and Granna is Donna. He is very protective of his little sister, especially at daycare when all his buddies crowd around her.

Our morning started with a celebratory waffle topped with cool-whip and candles. Tyler was very excited and ate every last bite...including the extra cool whip on the plate. Ha! He got to wear a "Birthday Boy" button to school and was excited to take cupcakes and party hats to celebrate with all his friends.

After cupcakes, I took the kids to the doctor solo for their 2 year and 4 month check-ups and we headed home to open gifts. More on that later. Granna came in town while we were gone and Tyler was excited to see her. He got lots of cool presents including construction trucks; a play road mat; trains; a tunnel and bridge for his train table; magnetic numbers; outside garden tools; books; playdoh and a soccer goal!

We have lots more celebrating planned for the weekend, starting with your birthday party tomorrow! Happy 2nd Birthday to our funny little guy!! We love you so much!
