Christmas lights with Pop Pop

Last night we all met Pop Pop for an early dinner at Blackhorse, one of our favorite restaurants in Clarksville, to visit and celebrate Christmas. Brian and Lindsay joined us before they headed back to Memphis (with a truck full of the kids Christmas gifts - thanks Uncle Brian!)

Dinner was yummy as usual and the kids did well until about the last 15 minutes and Tyler was DONE! He was yelled loudly and wanting to get down from his seat. And this is of course right after Uncle Brian and Lindsay were talking about how good they are in public. I blame them for the jinx! So, I did what any Mom would do to tide him over...I bribed him with candy and it worked like a charm. Ha! Sweet Caroline was happy as long as she was eating - she ate about 1 1/2 rolls.

After dinner, we went down to the river to see the LED light displays. This was our 2nd year to go and we had fun. Tyler enjoyed the chance to stretch his legs and could actually identify some of the displays. It was freezing cold again this year, so much so that Russ zipped Caroline up in his jacket! It was a nice way to spend a little bit more time with my Dad for the holiday.

One last pic with Uncle Brian and Lindsay before they headed home.
Of course, Tyler wanted nothing to do with picture-taking.

Touching Rudolph's nose!

Giant ball and bat that he immediately recognized.
Checking out the lights.

Running through the tunnel of lights!

It's "Happy Feet"!
